Hing Ket Grill House, Klang

I need to get used to taking photos when I eat, thus my amateurish photos for this review. Pls bear with me a while.

Hing Ket is a very popular grill house, specialising in grilled seafood, and LAMB! It seems their lamb are imported (as informed by my good friend, GSY).

On this night, we ordered Fried Yam Noodles, Oyster Omelette, Fried Lala Beehoon, Grilled crabs and Grilled Lamb. We had a coconut (local) each, which is perfect with the grilled foods.

The Yam Noodles tasted like heaven on earth. The noodles are made of yam, and had a firm yammy consistency. Cooked in black sauce with some cabbage, the noodles were perfect.

Next came the Oyster Omelette. It was so-so, as there are other restaurants in Klang, that tasted better. The chilli sauce was nothing to shout about, and I think it is quite tasteless.

The Lala Beehoon was a bit bland, after we devoured the tasty Yam Noodles. Should try the Fried Lala Tanghoon next round.
After about 20 min, the main star arrived, succulent grilled lamb chops with mint sauce, and salad side (pineapple, cucumber and tomato slices).

The lamb didn't have the musky smell usually evident in lamb, and the fats was crunchy and soft in the inside. Eat with the meat, topped with mint sauce and you'll be asking for more.

Last course were the grilled crabs, which was a bit disappointing. This round, we ordered the Large crabs (according to the tauke, is not always available).

The flesh was scarce, and didn't taste as sweet as the medium crabs we had in the previous visit. I would recommend the medium sized crabs as I think the 'grillers' are more used to this size to cook to perfection.

Reservations are essential as the place can be very full almost everyday.

Today is the beginning of my journey for food in black and white, for me to share with you. I have had the good fortune of being able to be surrounded by food-loving people, including family and friends. There may be already many food blogs out there, but, everyone has a different taste when it comes to feedback. Therefore, I am hoping to reach out to food lovers who share my kind of tastebuds, and find my blog useful in search of good food around the globe (mainly in Malaysia for now). I encourage you to read my blog when you are hungry, so you are encouraged to try the good foods I have tried. Have a good Eat! Enjoy!
